Opening Ceremony: Tokyo’s Run as Host of the World’s Top Athletes Isn’t Over Yet

The 2020 Tokyo Olympics may have come and went, but the action continues in Japan for the next two weeks with the Paralympic Games. For those unfamiliar, the Paralympics are the Games for athletes with disabilities in six main categories: amputee, cerebral palsy, intellectual disability, visual impairment, spinal injuries and a category classified as “other.” But a disability doesn’t take anything away from the athletic achievements of the world’s top athletes. Competition is just as fierce. The opening ceremony is in the books. Let’s re-run the medal count!
