Bears Defense Suffocates Seahawks, 24-17
A pick-6 by Bears' corner Prince Amukamara put the game on ice with just over six minutes to play as the Chicago defense was dominant in Soldier Field Monday night. Chicago moved to 1-1 and sent Seattle to an 0-2 start for just the second time in the Russell Wilson era.
Monsters of the Midway
It's been a decade since the Bears have been relevant. The combination of a monster defense with new head coach Matt Nagy's offensive creativity has Chicago ready to make a push in the NFC North.
The Chicago defense sacked Russell Wilson six times, stripped him twice and picked him off in the 4th quarter for the dagger. Bears' QB Mitch Trubisky did just enough to be effective, throwing for 200 yards, 2 touchdowns and 2 interceptions.
Russ on the Struggle Bus
It was the second consecutive game Wilson was sacked six times. Seattle plays Dallas next week and we saw Sunday night (six sacks on Eli Manning) that the Cowboys can rush the passer, too. Get the man some protection.
