College Football: Three Upsets

A little shuffling again this weekend in college football. No. 8 Notre Dame (Vanderbilt) and No. 5 Ohio State (No. 15 TCU) escaped upset alerts. These three teams did not:

Texas Upsets No. 22 USC

Texas QB Sam Ehlinger tossed two touchdowns and ran for a third as the Longhorns crushed No. 22 USC, 37-14. The Trojans are now 1-2.

BYU Beats No. 6 Wisconsin

One of the greatest names in college football, BYU running back Squally Canada rushed for 118 yards and two touchdowns as the Cougars upset the 6th-ranked Badgers, 24-21 in Madison. Wisconsin senior kicker Rafael Gaglione missed a 42-yarder to tie the game in the final minute.

No. 12 LSU Defeats No. 7 Auburn on 42-Yard Field Goal

LSU Kicker Cole Tracy buried a 42-yard walk-off field goal to give the Tigers their second win against a Top-25 opponent. LSU is now 3-0 and will move from a preseason ranking at No. 23 to a Top-10 spot in just three weeks.
