Rodgers 4th Quarter Brings Back Pack, 33-30
We feel like a broken record every time the Packers play in prime time. They sleep for three quarters before Aaron Rodgers comes alive. Last night was no different. No. 12 led Green Bay in another 4th-quarter comeback resulting in a game-winning Mason Crosby field goal to beat the 49ers, 33-30. Here’s how it played out:
Never count out Green Bay if Rodgers is driving the car. After falling behind 30-23 to a 1-4 injury-riddled 49ers team, A-Rod led the Pack to 10 points in the final two minutes at Lambeau Field.
Rodgers captained a 4-play 58-yard drive in just 48 seconds to tie the game at 30-all with just 1:55 on the clock. San Francisco quarterback C.J. Beathard was intercepted at the Green Bay 10-yard line on the following possession with just 1:07 to play.
Re-enter Rodgers with no timeouts. He engineered a 10-play 81-yard drive to tee up Mason Crosby’s game-winning 27-yard field goal. Crosby – who missed four kicks and an extra point last week – was a perfect 4-for-4 last night.
Stats You Can Find Anywhere: Rodgers threw for 425 yards and 2 TDs, both to Davante Adams.
Stats We Find: A few weeks ago, the Rams gave us the first game with three 100-yard receivers since last year’s Super Bowl. Davante Adams, Jimmy Graham and Marquez Valdes-Scantling each broke a hundy last night for Green Bay.
