Running back shuffle in Week 6. Three teams are making moves (or trying to) due to injury.
Jaguars Sign Free Agent Jamaal Charles
This isn’t 2013 so we don’t think you should pick him up in your fantasy football league. The 31-year-old Charles is the all-time leading rusher for the Kansas City Chiefs, but he hasn’t been the same since he tore his ACL in 2015. The Jags picked him up due to a trio of crippled backs with Leonard Fournette, Corey Grant, and T.J. Yeldon all nursing injuries.
Eagles Inquire About LeSean McCoy in Wake of Ajayi Injury
The Philadelphia Eagles traded LeSean McCoy to Buffalo in 2015. He’s the Eagles’ all-time leading rusher (6,792 yards) and Buffalo could be willing to trade away the aging running back with one year left on his contract. Philly lost Jay Ajayi to a torn ACL and their abysmal run game needs help. If it's not McCoy, it'll be someone else.
49ers Shopping Again
San Francisco can’t catch a break. First, they lost running back Jerrick McKinnon to a torn ACL. Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo tore his, too. The backups enterered and running back Matt Breida got a high ankle sprain Sunday. He shouldn’t be out more than a week or two but the 49ers are shopping for more help at running back.
