Bases Loaded: 3 Games With Playoff Implications

Cubs, Yankees and Rockies were in action again on Thursday night. All three teams won to add another feather in their cap. Here's our feathery bases loaded recap:

1st Base: Rockies Beat Phillies for 7th Straight WIn

Colorado is red hot with its seventh straight win. The Rockies beat the Phillies 5-3 and now hold a one-game lead on the Dodgers in the West. David Dahl homered for the fourth straight game.

2nd Base: Yankees Beat Rays, 1 Away From Hosting Wild Card

The Yanks still have something to play for. The Rays don't. And that was evident. New York beat Tampa, 12-1. They went yard four times (Giancarlo Stanton raked twice). CC Sabathia got tossed, and it cost him a lot of cash.

3rd Base: Cubs Beat Pirates Again, Magic Number to 3

Chicago shut out Pittsburgh 3-0 with Jon Lester on the mound (his 18th win). The Cubs now hold a one game lead on Milwaukee in the NL Central and need three wins to take the division.
